These
photographs were taken over a few years and three trips to Tasmania.
I visited a few more N Parks but all photographs were lost with
camera (click on small pic to

The lesser walked Douglas Apsley NP is on
the East coast of Tassie and is worth the effort to walk this easy
three day walk. The views are spectacular nothing like the central
or south coast. One crosses the Douglas & Apsley rivers.

Mt Field is my
most favourite park in Tassie, the walking is mostly easy, the views
spectacular. The Tarn shelf is a must and camping at Lake
Dobson is good, climbing Mt Field east 1500metres in summer,
watch out for snow.

forms the northern end of the Cradle Mt - Lake St Clair
National Park. Cradle Mountain is so named because of the similarity
to the miners cradle for gold prospecting.
